On 23rd Sept 2026, FUTURES A8 was released. It allows you to run calculations on a remote server (useful for running large sets of forecasts that would require more resources - RAM and processors - than held by typical user machines). It also provides an API to allow control FUTURES from external programming environments (Python etc).
On 1st Oct 2025, FUTURES A7 updated from V7.1 to V7.2, with an AI assistant and an option to use the HiGHS linear solver (faster than the Serafim solver, particularly for models with 1000+ wells).

Serafim Ltd. will be publishing a conference paper at the annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference that is taking place from 31st of October till November 3rd 2022. The paper will be titled "An Algorithm For Calculating Incremental Production In An Integrated Asset Model". It was written by Peter Cunningham, Su Huan, Hendrik Leegte and Daryan Taher. The paper will be available on OnePetro after its presentation.
Serafim Ltd. has decided to change the name of its flagship software from FUTURE® to FUTURES®. The change will be implemented with the release of version 7 which will also carry function and design changes along with it. The update is expected to be released in January of next year.
